Dailymotion admits hack exposed millions of accounts

A hacker extracted 85.2 million unique email addresses and usernames from the company's systems, but about one-in-five accounts -- roughly 18.3 million-- had associated passwords, which were scrambled with the bcrypt hashing function, making the passwords difficult to crack.

Yahoo discloses hack of 1 billion accounts

The company disclosed today that it has discovered a breach of more than one billion user accounts that occurred in August 2013. The breach is believed to be separate and distinct from the theft of data from 500 million accounts that Yahoo reported this September.

Troublingly, Yahoo’s chief information security officer Bob Lord says that the company hasn’t been able to determine how the data from the one billion accounts was stolen. “We have not been able to identify the intrusion associated with this theft,” Lord wrote in a post announcing the hack.

“The stolen user account information may have included names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, hashed passwords (using MD5) and, in some cases, encrypted or unencrypted security questions and answers,” Lord added.

Onelogin hacked e passwords desencriptadas :what:

Quote

OneLogin has admitted that the single sign-on (SSO) and identity management firm has suffered a data breach. However its public statement is vague about the nature of the attack.

An e-mail to customers provides a bit of detail—warning them that their data may have been exposed. And a support pagethat is only accessible to OneLogin account holders is even more worrying for customers. It apparently says that "customer data was compromised, including the ability to decrypt encrypted data."

Recebi um mail do haveibeenpwned a dizer que houve um ataque, db8151dd, que ninguém sabe de onde veio.

Quote

In February 2020, a massive trove of personal information referred to as "db8151dd" was provided to HIBP after being found left exposed on a publicly facing Elasticsearch server. The exposed data could not be attributed to an owner and appears to be related to a CRM which aggregated personal information and customer interactions. The data was provided to HIBP by dehashed.com.

US and international law enforcement agencies have seized control of a popular website where hackers have advertised data stolen from American consumers and corporations -- the latest in a long-running effort to crack down on forums where cybercriminals congregate.
