Cá fica a thread para o novo Mass Effect. Enquanto não houver nome, fica ME4. :P

Next Mass Effect Will Be Fresh, New and Mostly Made in Montreal

A panel celebrating the recently-concludedMass Effect trilogy produced scant details and vague teases about the future of the series and its creators at PAX East in Boston today.

"We are starting to get ready to develop another Mass Effect game, and it's going to be a new thing," series executive producer Casey Hudson said at a Mass Effect retrospective at PAX East in Boston today. "We want to be able to give fans an opportunity to get back into the world with these things you've come to know and love about the Mass Effect experience but start something fresh and new—a new way for you to explore the whole universe in Mass Effect."

For series fans, even that little bit of info might be a welcome update.

The game will be developed primarily by BioWare's Montreal studio, though Hudson, in the studio's Edmonton headquarters, will serve as the executive producer. As we've previously reported, Commander Shepard will not be returning.

Hudon and the series' lead designer Preston Watamaniuk will mostly be working on a non-Mass Effect project. "We are developing a whole new fictional universe at BioWare for myself and Preston [and other main Mass Effect trilogy creators.] That's kind of our next thing," Husdon said. "We're focusing on building something new the way we did at the very beginning on Mass Effect.

Hudson also seemed big on the planned Mass Effect movie in development at Legendary Pictures. "That hopefully should be seen as a good thing," he said, "Because what we're looking at are, I think, the right things to make sure it's gong to be a great movie. It's not just going to be a movie; it's going to be really special." We've not heard much about the movie lately, so a mention is encouraging.

@Rev timelines como?

@Rev timelines como?

O final quando aparece o Stargazer a contar a historia do Sheppard à criança.

BioWare: Mass Effect 4 will reference original trilogy but remain separate

"We've got a really cool idea for how we're going to carry on."

The next Mass Effect game will reference the series' existing trilogy, BioWare has said, although there's still no clear confirmation of when the new title will be set.

But, when quizzed on the subject, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal boss Aaryn Flynn told Game Trailers that the developer had a "really cool idea" for how the franchise would continue.

"I can't get into that too much. We've got a really cool idea for how we're going to carry on - keep the trilogy separate but at the same time give a bunch of nods to fans who enjoyed the trilogy in the past," he teased.

"That's all going to come out soon."

BioWare has already stated that Shepard will not appear in the next game, and that your previous companions are unlikely to return either. "Hmm," Flynn mused when asked about returning characters. "Definitely returning races. It wouldn't be a Mass Effect game without the krogans - we showed a krogan today."

The teaser video revealed during EA's press conference explained that the forthcoming game would "move forward" and take the series to a "whole new region of space" - prompting some to suggest it would be set in a whole new galaxy.

Such a move might allow BioWare to sidestep the effects of Mass Effect 3's ending by simply starting the franchise somewhere else. But - wherever the game is set - familiar races will still be around. A human, krogan and what looks like a salarian were seen in the early footage.

"We think fans of the series are going to be surprised at just how far we're going," BioWare concluded during the trailer.

Não me parece descabido.
