A fase com o Cable, do Nicieza não cansa, definitivamente. A melhor fase foi depois, com o Daniel Way. Essa sim, um épico.

Report: Ghostbusters movie will be a reboot with women in lead roles

 

The next Ghostbusters movie is a reboot of the franchise with women in the main, ghost-busting roles, reports The Hollywood Reporter

 

Paul Feig, who directed the Oscar-nominated 2011 film Bridesmaids, is believed to be Sony Pictures' top choice to direct the film, though THR said formal negotiations have not yet taken place, citing unnamed sources.

No names of any actors have been floated or rumored yet.

 

However, the Ghostbusters 3 project that would have been a more direct sequel is not confirmed to be canned outright. Variety reports that "it's unclear whether another director will be chosen for that project, or if this reboot takes its place."

 

What was to be Ghostbusters 3 ran into a number of problems — principally the death of actor (and original co-writer) Harold Ramis in February, and original director Ivan Reitman's departure from the project in March.

 

Variety, citing unnamed sources, said the script for the new film will be written from scratch.

R.I.P. ‘Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ Star Marilyn Burns

The woman who lived through Leatherface has died. Marilyn Burns was 65. A family member found the actress in her home near Houston today; no cause of death was reported. She made her big-screen starring debut in Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as Sally Hardesty, who somehow remains standing as everyone around her is picked Marilyn Burnsoff in particularly brutal ways. Burns followed that with a role as Manson Family member Linda Kasabian in the 1976 CBS miniseries Helter Skelter. The Erie, PA, native reteamed with Hooper the following year for Eaten Alive and appeared in a pair of 1980s films: Kiss Daddy Goodbye opposite one-time teen singing idol Fabian and Future-Kill. Burns had a cameo in 1994′s Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.

Hollywood prepara nova versão de «Underwold»

«Underworld - O Submundo» recebeu ordens de «reboot»: a produtora Lakeshore Entertainment contratou Cory Goodman, argumentista de «Padre», com Paul Bettany, para refrescar a saga de vampiros, lobisomens e híbridos.

 

«Underworld - Submundo» surgiu em 2003, dirigido por Len Wiseman, tinha no centro da história Selene, uma bela e fatal vampira interpretada por Kate Beckinsale, Lucian, o líder dos vampiros a cargo de Martin Sheen, e Michael, um humano disputado por ambos, papel de Scott Speedman.

 

O grande sucesso do primeiro filme deu origem a «Underworld: Evolução» (2006), em que regressavam Beckinsale, Speedman e Liseman, «Underworld: A Revolta» (2009), uma prequela centralizada nas personagens dos líderes de lobisomens e vampiros corporizadas por Michael Sheen e Bill Nighy, realizada por Patrick Tatopoulos.

 

Beneficiando do 3D, «Underworld: O Despertar» (2012), em que regressaram Beckinsale e Wiseman, foi o mais rentável dos quatro filmes, com as receitas internacionais a chegarem mesmo a ser mais do dobro dos filmes anteriores.

 

Apesar dos 458 milhões de dólares reunidos a nível mundial, os grandes rendimentos da saga, que motivaram sempre a aprovação de novos filmes, vieram das vendas no circuito de «home cinema».

A personagem dos filmes do agente secreto, Jaws, acompanhou-o por toda a vida e continuava a dar autógrafos aos fãs da saga.

 

 

Morreu Richard Kiel, o actor que interpretou o icónico vilão Jaws em 007 – Agente irresistível (1977) e em 007 – Aventura no Espaço (1979), com Roger Moore como 007. Aos 74 anos, o actor norte-americano morreu num hospital da Califórnia, esta quarta-feira, não tendo sido revelada qual a causa da morte. O site TMZ escreve que o actor partiu uma perna na semana passada, mas não sabe se isto estará relacionado com a sua morte.

Com os seus dentes de aço e os seus 2,2 metros de altura, Kiel tornou Jaws um dos mais conhecidos vilões dos filmes da saga 007 – foi tão popular na sua primeira participação que os produtores quiseram voltar a inclui-lo no elenco. Nessa altura, os argumentistas de 007 – Aventura no Espaço deram ao vilão Jaws uma história de amor com Dolly, interpretada pela actriz Blanche Ravalec.

A sua figura estava ainda hoje ligada a esta personagem: nos últimos anos fez cameos da sua personagem em séries de televisão, videojogos ou noutros filmes, como em Inspector Gadget, em 1999 – aí interpreta uma personagem que ficou creditada como Famous Big Guy with Silver Teeth (Homem grande e famoso com dentes prateados). Em 2010 participou na dobragem norte-americana do filme de animação da Disney Entrelaçados, em que interpretava o papel de Vlad... o vilão.

Afastado da representação há alguns anos por causa de um acidente de tractor que o forçou a andar de bengala e mais tarde de cadeira de rodas, Kiel mantinha-se ligado ao mundo do cinema pelas sessões de autógrafos que continuava a dar aos fãs do agente secreto 007.

Nascido em Detroit em 1939, teve o seu primeiro papel em 1960 na série de televisão Laramie, uma série de cowboys, e ao longo da sua carreira as participações em séries de televisão tornaram-se mais frequentes que os papéis no cinema: The Man from U.N.C.L.E., em 1964, Land of the Lost, em 1976, ou The Fall Guy, em 1981.

“Ele foi um cliente e um amigo muito leal durante mais de 35 anos" – disse em comunicado Steve Stevens, agente do actor, a propósito da sua morte –, "um marido e pai incrível e não era apenas um actor gigante, mas um homem giante”.

"Fui abençoado com uma carreira esplêndida nos anos 1970, quando interpretei Jaws e experimentei todos os tipos de papéis. Foi nessa altura que percebi que o público gosta mais dos papéis que desempenhamos e que são ‘bigger than life’ do que gosta da minha pessoa. Então apenas colaborei com isso e tentei divertir-me”, disse no final dos anos 1990, em entrevista ao site oficial do actor Roger Moore.

Deadpool Movie Officially Announced For 2016, Fantastic Four Rescheduled

 

Fox have decided to finally go ahead and make a Deadpool feature film, slotting it into the schedule for February 12th 2016. Plenty of people will credit the excited fan reception for the recently "leaked" Deadpool test footage for this, particularly after Ryan Reynolds' recent comments.

 

That release date would mean, I'd imagine, that the film will go into production in early 2015. We should, therefore, be hearing a lot more soon, and even seeing footage as soon as next year's San Diego Comic Con, I'd wager. Will they use the script by Zombieland's Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick? I can't imagine there's time to get an all new one. Will Blur's Tim Miller direct? Well, if it was his test that clinched the deal, I'd guess so...

 

Meanwhile, Assassin's Creed has been bumped off its date and left blowing in the breeze. Things don't seem to be going too well for that film, despite Michael Fassbender's passion for it, and I wonder if Ubisoft's newness in Hollywood might not have something to do with this. That now empty slot, on August 7th 2015, will now go to Fantastic Four, moving back from June 19th.

 

Don't read anything about the F4 movie into this decision - the simplest interpretation is that Fox see the August date as the best one on offer and while they've got two to chose from, now, they'll plump for the later one.

There will be no aliens in the next Alien film

 

Speaking to Yahoo Movies UK, director Ridley Scott is adamant that there will be no xenomorphs — the creatures synonymous with "aliens" in the Alien franchise films — inPrometheus 2.

 

"The beast is done. Cooked..." "I got lucky meeting Giger all those years ago. It's very hard to repeat that. I just happen to be the one who forced it through because they said it's obscene. They didn't want to do it and I said, 'I want to do it, it's fantastic'. But after four, I think it wears out a little bit. There's only so much snarling you can do. I think you've got to come back with something more interesting. And I think we've found the next step. I thought the Engineers were quite a good start."

 

Prometheus ended up with what could only be described as "fan service" that connected semi-prequel with the rest of the Alien franchise. That final scene centered on a xenomorph, so it's a little weird that Scott is going back on that particular creative decision.

 

Then again, there were a lot of bizarre decisions made in Prometheus.

 

No matter how you felt about the divisive 2012 sci-fi epic, there's a clear starting point for a weird and wonderful sequel in Prometheus 2. Ostensibly, if the penultimate scene in the film is anything to go on, Noomi Rapace's Dr. Shaw and David (Micahel Fassbender)'s disembodied head will be off on an adventure to find the engineers' (the giant, ripped aliens that probably created humanity) home planet. I'm hoping it's as bizarre and crazy as that sounds. In the world of mega-budget sci-fi, pulling that off would be an absolute triumph.

 

Prometheus 2 is currently in development, with no planned release date.
