50GB free Box.net storage on iOS and Android phones

Good Deal: 50GB free Box.net storage when you buy an LG Android phone

Cloud storage provider Box is teaming up with LG to provide 50GB free storage to buyers of LG Android phones. This follows HTC's partnership with Dropbox to offer a similar service, but that only gives 3GB to Sense 3.5 phones, rather than the manufacturer's whole range. The 50GB personal package would normally cost $19.99 monthly, but users who sign in to Box on an LG phone will receive the capacity upgrade free for life. Best of all, it also works retroactively, so any LG owners with Android 2.1 or greater can take advantage of the promotion.

The deal runs until the end of March 2012, and mirrors a similar offer that's ending soon for iOS devices. There's no word on similar deals for other Android manufacturers as yet, though.

...a menos que tenha root, here we go:

ro.product.manufacturer=lge

Reiniciar o telemóvel

instalem a app do market daqui

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.box.android
Ou se preferirem saquem-na daqui

http://www.box.com/s/pssaakdjpsvsr8g2rji5
[/code]

Size matters: Get a FREE 50 GB lifetime account for file storage and sharing through Dec. 2, 2011. To get your automatic upgrade, download the Box app on your iPhone or iPad and register or sign in to your account - it's that easy.

A mim ainda me dá menos trabalho visto que tenho um LG 14.gif

Já agora, o Box funciona bem? Costumo usar o Dropbox.

Sony Ericsson Offers Xperia Users 50 GB Free Space on Box.Net

When Apple launched the iPhone 4S, Box.net, a cloud storage service, announced that it would offer 50 GB free storage space to all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users who signed up for a Box personal account within 50 days.

Even HTC recently tied up with Dropbox to offer free 5 GB storage with every HTC Android phone.

Sony Ericsson has announced an even better offer today. It has teamed up with Box.net to offer 50 GB of free cloud storage space for every Xperia phone owner.

To avail of the offer, you just need to download the Box.net app from the Android market, create an account and log in before December 31, 2012 (the deadline might actually be December 31, 2011, so just register before that to be on the safe side).

Box.net is the enterprise focused counterpart of Dropbox. It is trying to grab share in the consumer cloud storage market from Dropbox, which recently raised funding at a $4 billion valuation.

It’s nice to see that smartphone manufacturers are now trying to differentiate their products with such promotions and offers, instead of fighting a war based only on hardware specifications.

Samsung & LG still don’t offer any free cloud storage. Presumably, they will offer some such deal with Dropbox or Box.net too, in the near future.

On Monday afternoon, we mistakenly posted a promo offering Xperia owners 50GB of free storage via the Box for Android mobile app. While we’re really excited about working with Box down the road, this offer is not active today. We are in the midst of finalising the details of this promotion and are working to provide this offer very soon to all Xperia customers so stay tuned!
