A Ps3 ganhou a guerra nos últimos 2 anos, e os exclusivos mais recentes continuam a fazer a consola relevante (Ni no kuni, last of us, Beyond).

Lembrei-me agora do Journey...grande experiência também.

God of War mascote da PS3? Oi?

Basta ver as aparições dele "noutros jogos".

Xbox One reputation system will punish griefers, reward good gamers

"You'll start to see some effects if you continue to play bad."

Xbox One will penalise players who harass others while online and reward gamers who behave.

Griefers and trolls will be identified by a high-profile reputation score, made "just as visible" as your Gamerscore, the company has said.

It's all part of a push to get gamers chatting with other players without having the hassle of weeding out and muting troublemakers.

"You need a community of folks that aren't screaming vulgarities every ten seconds, or the griefers or the harassers," Microsoft's senior product manager Mike Lavin told OXM.

"If people are in your friends list, we're not touching that, we're just making it easier for you to come together. It's really the anonymous side of things where we're making these investments. Ultimately if there's a few per cent of our population that are causing the rest of the population to have a miserable time, we should be able to identify those folks."

Players who enjoy abusing others will gradually find themselves only being paired up with others of a similar poor reputation - a hive of scum and villainy that better behaved players will be separated from.

"If we see consistently that people, for instance, don't like playing with you, that you're consistently blocked, that you're the subject of enforcement actions because you're sending naked pictures of yourself to people that don't want naked pictures of you... Blatant things like that have the ability to quickly reduce your Reputation score.

"You'll start to see some effects if you continue to play bad or harass other people en masse. You'll probably end up starting to play more with other people that are more similar to you."

Conversely, those who behave as upstanding members of the Xbox One community will be rewarded.

"Reputation is just like Achievements - you want your Reputation score as high as you can get it," Lavin continued. "There may even be opportunities where if you participate in some of our community programmes, your reputation can even get higher."

Microsoft is still hammering out the details of how this Reputation system will be presented - a numerical score on your profile? Stars under your name? Eurogamer-style comment negging? Whatever the case, the company seems committed to improving its online environment for its next-gen console.

Microsoft is actually asking developers about an increased GPU upclock and a increase in total DDR3 RAM to 12GB

MS has gone to devs for feedback on a few different things, two of them being an increased GPU clock and an increase to 12 GB of RAM (another thing on the list was storage for ‘tombstoning’ - I’m guessing flash cache)

Devs have to list which spec changes they prefer in order of importance. So nothing is confirmed as of yet, just options MS is getting feedback on.

As of right now current Xbox One devkits are running with 12 GB of RAM and the reason for the idea behind a upclock is that the Xbox One is running cooler or using less power than was planned and they can now allow for a stable upclock.

@Beyond3D.com

Devia dizer nomeada.

JulieLarson-Green_Print_42172_screen_247

Julie Larson-Green é a pessoa escolhida.

Today, July 11, Microsoft released a big vision statement for the company that isn't bylined by Ballmer but is referenced by the Microsoft CEO in his own memo about the company's reorganization. "This memo," he writes, referring to the vision statement, "shows you how far we have developed our thinking on our strategy for high-value activities based on devices and services delivery."

@Kotaku

19-year Microsoft veteran Julie Larson-Green the new head of Microsoft's Devices and Studios Engineering Group, overseeing all Xbox development.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has announced a major organisational shake-up at the company, confirming former Windows boss Julie Larson-Green as the new head of Xbox hardware.

Writing a memo to all Microsoft staff, Ballmer speaks of his vision for "One Microsoft" will enable the company to operate at "greater speed, efficiency and capability in a fast changing world."

Larson-Green, a 19-year veteran of the company, will now lead Microsoft's Devices and Studios Engineering Group, and will look after all of Microsoft's hardware development--including the Xbox brand.

As the head of Microsoft's Windows division, Larson-Green oversaw the launches of Windows 8 and Windows 7. She also led the visual redesign introduced in Microsoft Office 2007.

Former Microsoft boss Don Mattrick was reported to have been lined up for Larson-Green's new role, but recently departed Microsoft to join social gaming giant Zynga as its CEO.

Elsewhere in the company, former Windows Phone boss Terry Myerson will now head up the Operating Systems Engineering Group that will encompass all versions of the company's flagship operating system across console, mobile, and PC. The Applications and Services Engineering Group, led by Qi Lu, will focus on developing applications services, and search.

Former Skype boss Tony Bates will take charge of Microsoft's Business Development and Evangelism Group, and will work on strengthening the company's relationship with other manufacturers and developers.

"Lots of change," said Ballmer. "But in all of this, many key things remains [sic] the same. Our incredible people, our spirit, our commitment, our belief in the transformative power of technology--our Microsoft technology--to make the world a better place for billions of people and millions of businesses around the world. It’s why I come to work inspired every day. It’s why we’ve evolved before, and why we’re evolving now. Because we’re not done."

"Let’s go," concluded Ballmer.

@IGN

Nada a dizer..

E ainda:

Xbox One lets you play during download, Microsoft confirms

Xbox One users will be able to play games while they're still downloading to the console, a Microsoft representative confirmed to Polygon.

Microsoft said when it unveiled the Xbox One in May that the console will allow users to play disc-based games while they're installing to the system's hard drive; all disc-based titles must be installed. But it was unclear until now if the same functionality would apply to games downloaded from Xbox Live.

The PlayStation 4 will also support playing games when a certain portion of a download is complete, said a Sony engineer during the Develop conference last week. In addition, just as on Xbox One, users will be able to pop a game disc in the console and start playing immediately while the system installs the game to the hard drive in the background.
