Aliás, ainda ontem, a ouvir o Use your Ilusion II, dos Guns'N'Roses prestei alguma atenção à lírica do Civil War:

:note: I don't need your civil war

... It feeds the rich while it buries the poor

... Your power hungry sellin' soldiers

... In a human grocery store

... Ain't that fresh

... And I don't need your civil war

... I don't need your civil war

... I don't need your civil war

... Your power hungry sellin' soldiers

... In a human grocery store

... Ain't that fresh

... I don't need your civil war

... I don't need one more war :note:

Art is the barometer of the world we live in, indicating before its arrival the state of our social and cultural worlds - it always has been and always will.

"With all my heart I urge people to vote against George Bush. Jon Stewart would be ideal, but John Kerry is the logical and sane move. It does not need to be said yet again, but Bush has single-handedly turned the United States into the most neurotic and terror-obsessed country on the planet. For non-Americans, the United States is suddenly not a very nice place to visit because US immigration officers – under the rules of Bush – now conduct themselves with all the charm and unanswerable indignation of Hitler’s SS.

Please bring sanity and intelligence back to the United States.

Don’t forget to vote.

Vote for John Kerry and get rid of George Bush!"

As soon as you're born they make you feel small,

By giving you no time instead of it all,

'Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all..

A working class hero is something to be.

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school,

They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool,

'Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules..

A working class hero is something to be.

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years,

Then they expect you to pick a career,

When you can't really function, you're so full of fear..

A working class hero is something to be.

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV,

And you think you're so clever and classless and free,

But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see..

A working class hero is something to be.

There's room at the top they are telling you still,

But first you must learn how to smile as you kill,

If you want to be like the folks on the hill..

A working class hero is something to be.

If you want to be a hero well just follow me.

John Lennon, quem mais?
