Status: New Series Premiered: January 22, 2008

Show Categories: Drama, Action/Adventure

This one hour drama follows the search and rescue (SAR) team of the Canadian Coast Guard. The crew of the MLB Cape Pacific is lead by Captain Miro DaSilva played Steve Bacic and its First Mate Laura Nelson played by Claudette Mink. The crew is rounded out by Coast guard rescue swimmers Andrew Vanderlee played by Jeremy Guilbaut and Carly Greig played by Zoie Palmer.

Series name was originally Search and Rescue but has been changed to The Guard.

The Guard is a one-hour character-driven, Global original series that focuses on the lives of four imperfect, offbeat and sometimes difficult heroes. These Coast Guard rescue specialists continue to look for meaning in their own lives while enduring the daily dangers of life out on the Pacific Ocean.

Home grown talent starring in this primetime Global original series include Steve Bacic (Andromeda) as Duty Captain, Miro Da Silva; Jeremy Guilbaut (Edgemont) as Rescue Specialist, Andrew Vanderlee; Zoie Palmer (Instant Star) as Rescue Specialist Carly Greig; and Claudette Mink (The Days) as Rescue Specialist Laura Nelson. David James Elliott, well known to television fans for JAG and Closer to Home, will play recurring character, David Nelson on the series.

Estou a sacar com esperança que seja alguma coisa de jeito. Nestes tempos de vacas e cabras magras estas séries vindas de lugares onde a WGA ainda não meteu as patas, vai ocupando umas horas mortas.
