Here are the official details: Starting on Sunday 9 June 2002, 10pm: Jonathan Ross hosts this six-part series that explores Japanese cinema. From classics, such as Seven Samurai, to contemporary animation - it's all in here. Shot on location in Japan, Wossy interviews those at the forefront of Japanese cinema, including directors, actors and animators. Computer game designers and pop stars also get a chance to air their views. --- What the official details forget to mention is that the BBC have put some effort into this one! They've shot interviews with Hayao Miyazaki, Keiji Nakazawa, Shinya Tsukamoto and Mamoru Oshii too! So you are certainly going to get your anime fix from watching this series. The TV trailer showed clips from Blood the Last Vampire and Ninja Scroll. The show will also have a feature on Licca-chan (think of her as the Japanese equivalent of Barbie). If you want to know more about Licca-chan before it is screened have a read of the Anime Encyclopaedia, since one of it's authors Jonathan Clements consulted on the show. Fonte Só a semana passada é que tropecei neste excelente programa da BBC :dumb: , puxando uns torrents ranhosos de má qualidade, mas com um conteúdo 5 estrelas. Os rips mais recentes são de boa qualidade, mas nem todos. Este programa dá uma visão de tudo e mais alguma coisa de tudo o que é japonês. Bom, quase tudo... desde a etiqueta, sexualidade, musica, desporto, comportamento social, tecnologia, basicamente o que é ser japonês viisto por um ocidental. Esta espécie de documentário caiu do céu para quem é apreciador da cultura japonesa e a sua excentricidade. O Japão é de facto outra dimensão. Os site da BBC Three tem a listagem dos episódios que já passaram esta temporada, vi todos e adorei. Isto sim, é que eu chamo de Serviço Público, programas de qualidade, variedade, abrangentes e com muito profissionalismo, assim fosse a RTP. Achei que podiam achar interessante, especialmente os fans de manga, anime e filmes asiaticos em geral.
