A revista Mojo publica, na edição deste mês, a sua lista dos 50 melhores álbuns do ano e escolhe I’m A Bird Now de Antony And The Johnsons. Muito a propósito, o dossier de balanço do ano apresenta uma oportuna entrevista com o cantor que este ano ganhou inesperada e merecida visibilidade. Entre outras escolhas, a Mojo elege como DVD do ano o filme Dig!, sobre os Brian Jonestown Massacre e Dandy warhols. O artista do ano é Bob Dylan e os estreantes de 2005 os Arcade Fire. Como tendência do ano foi apontado o novo hábito dos artistas em tocar álbuns na íntegra ao vivo. O pior do ano, naturalmente, as inundações em New Orleans causadas pelo furacão Katrina. Nas tabelas por géneros a Mojo destaca osálbuns dos LCD Soundsystem (Dança/Electrónica), Cannibal Holocaust (Banda Sonora), Gregory Isacs (Reggae), Edan (Urban), Muddy Watres (Blues), Lightning Bolt (Underground), Rachel Unthank & The Winterset (Folk), Eels (Americana), Justin Quinn’s Bakehouse (Jazz) e Salif Keita (World).
