Access your SkyDrive using a brand new app for Android v2.3 or the updated apps for Windows Phone, iPhone, and iPad. Collaborate online with the new Office Web apps, including Excel forms, co-authoring in PowerPoint and embeddable Word documents. Currently 40% of Mesh customers are actively using SkyDrive and based on the positive response and our increasing focus on improving personal cloud storage, it makes sense to merge SkyDrive and Mesh into a single product for anytime and anywhere access for files. As a result, we will retire Mesh on February 13, 2013. After this date, some Mesh functions, such as remote desktop and peer to peer sync, will no longer be available and any data on the Mesh cloud, called Mesh synced storage or SkyDrive synced storage, will be removed. The folders you synced with Mesh will stop syncing, and you will not be able to connect to your PCs remotely using Mesh. We encourage you to try out the new SkyDrive to see how it can meet your needs. During the transition period, we suggest that, in addition to using Mesh, you sync your Mesh files using SkyDrive. This way, you can try out SkyDrive without changing your existing Mesh setup. For tips on transitioning to SkyDrive, see SkyDrive for Mesh users on the Windows website. If you have questions, you can post them in the SkyDrive forums. Mesh customers have been influential and your feedback has helped shape our strategy for Mesh and SkyDrive. We would not be here without your support and hope you continue to give us feedback as you use SkyDrive. Isto é muito mau, o Skydrive NÃO substitui o Windows Live Mesh. O Skydrive é semelhante ao Dropbox, já o Mesh não se limitava a cloud storage. Infelizmente decidiram abandonar o serviço e por acaso a mim vai me causar bastantes problemas porque tinha uma série de folders a fazer sync por network em realtime... Mais uma vez temos a Microsoft a impor-nos necessidades em vez de assistir as nossas necessidades Before you ask: "mas offline sync podes ter no aerofs" ... 1 word, JAVA "synctoy" ... não faz realtime >.> "offline folders do windows" ... não me deixar especificar 2 folders para fazer sync apenas me dá acesso a um folder de rede em modo offline "usa um serviço de cloud online..." para fazer sync a folders com mais de 25GB? Demora pouquinho... para não falar de ter limitações de capacidade e tamanho de ficheiro. Eu com o Mesh fazia tudo de forma local (não corria o risco de guardar info importante em serviços online que estão sujeitos a falhas de segurança"), fazia sync rápida por ser por rede e em real-time. Para quem quer uma alternativa ao Mesh para Lan sync, o Yadis backup faz lan sync em real-time e é free nevermind this, n faz 2 way sync >.> ----- on other news, encontrei este serviço: cubby do Logmein funciona estilo dropbox mas dá a opção de não usar a cloud para sync e fazer sync local, melhor ainda, deixa usar tanto como single cm com folders nossos e deixa especificar que folders fazem sync local e quais fazem sync online.
